Social Researcher with more than 23 years of professional experience in conducting large-scale evaluation surveys and in the implementation and monitoring of community-based development projects in Rural and Urban local bodies.
Has coordinated large-scale Household Surveys across South India for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India (GoI), including various rounds of the District Level Household Survey on Reproductive and Child Health (DLHS-RCH), Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) and Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS). Has vast experience in evaluating and monitoring rural development projects as a member of the National Level Monitoring team for the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI, and has monitored centrally sponsored schemes of the Ministry in more than 200 LSGIs across south India, since 2012.
Is also experienced in local-level planning, including formulation of livelihood plans for the poor aimed at poverty eradication through organisation of Self-Help Groups at the village level in association with Grama Panchayats. Successfully mobilised community participation for participatory planning through ground level capacity building programmes in Rural and Urban local bodies.
Currently serves as a district level core member of the Working group on Carbon Neutral Panchayats in Ernakulam District under Haritha Keralam Mission, Government of Kerala and as the district-level resource person of the Biodiversity Board. Has been conducting awareness programmes in local bodies on bio-diversity conservation.
Is a Post Graduate in Social Work from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu and a Graduate in Zoology from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.
