Training / Capacity Building

Following training and capacity building programmes are organised by CSES

• The institution functions as an Outreach nodal center of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. Courses are offered in Remote Sensing and GIS.
• Training programmes in Participatory Rural Appraisal Techniques and watershed based planning.  It is being done as part of its projects and independently.
• Internship programme in social sciences to develop research aptitude among young students and researchers.  In the past, we have hosted interns and volunteers from Universities located in countries including Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, UK, Bangladesh, as well as from different parts of India. 
• Training programmes for students, researchers and teachers.  In the past, training workshops on research methodology were organised jointly with the Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy and the Union Christian College, Aluva.
