Core Objectives

  • Influence public opinion and policy
  • Provide advice to Government, Industry, Civil Society Organisations and International agencies
  • Facilitate debate and dialogue
  • Establish Regional Resource Centre for the benefit of researchers and the public
  • Develop a research network covering Academic institutions, NGOs, Government and Industry

The Centre attempts to make timely interventions in society through research and dialogue. Though the focus of the Centre is on development issues relating to Kerala, it also undertakes comparative studies between Kerala and other regions, both in India and abroad. It positions itself as non-partisan think tank and strives to sensitise public opinion and policy makers by disseminating its work through working papers, issue briefs, fact sheets, workshops and conferences, and the print and broadcast media.
