To develop research aptitude among young students, CSES welcome them as interns and gives them a first-hand research experience. Interns should be students pursuing PhD or Post Graduate Degrees or should have recently completed post-graduate degrees in the fields of social science (economics, sociology, anthropology political science, social work, gender studies, development studies), journalism, environmental studies or related disciplines. The internship opportunities include carrying out independent research projects, fieldwork, building databases, preparing briefing papers, reports and presentations. Interns can also associate in the online outreach of CSES by creating social media content for the Centre on platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Blogs.

In the past, we have hosted interns and volunteers from Universities located in countries including Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, UK, Bangladesh, as well as from different parts of India. Click here to access previous Internship Reports.

Conditions

  • The intern should be able to devote a minimum one month on the research assigned at CSES
  • Interns should have access to computer and internet connection to carry out the assigned research
  • Certificate on Internship Completion will be provided to those interns who successfully makes a presentation and submit a report on the research done during the internship period
